B-hub for Europe is running matchmaking sessions between its accelerated startups and public/private organisations for a possible uptake of the offered solutions.
The B-hub partners are providing a customised support for assessing the needs and requirements of the organisation, scouting the most suitable blockchain-based solution within the B-hub portfolio, creating bilateral contacts, and enabling the start of a collaboration between the two parties.
More than 30 matching sessions were held so far with 28 accelerated startups in the five countries involving more than 40 public/private organisations (companies, research centres, investors and public institutions/agencies). Three pilots are currently ongoing to test solutions functionalities and performance in three main areas: notarisation of diplomas, tracking of shipments and product quality traceability. So far, one commercial agreement between one Italian startup and one private company was signed for the adoption of a solution to certify plastic free processes.
The first agreement was signed by B2Lab, one of B-hub accelerated startups, which offers customised services on a proprietary Blockchain as A Service Platform (BLOKI) to trace and certify documents, data, and processes with Plastic Free Certification,an innovative company that has developed a new proprietary certification standard, the ‘Plastic Free Standard’, that guides organisations in the process of elimination of disposable plastic by involving the entire production chain.
